Church leaders: tap into this easy, inexpensive, and powerful way to build your ministry.
If you're not podcasting, you should be!
Podcasting is HUGE. Studies show that over 1.5 million podcasts have produced over 34 million episodes, and it's expanding every year. Why? Because it's easy to find something informative and entertaining to listen to on EVERY SUBJECT IMAGINABLE.
But instead of dreaming of producing an ultra-popular podcast, why not create content that goes with your parishioners everywhere they go? Even a numerically small podcast can have an amazing impact upon its listeners.
Rev. Steven D. Martin has been producing various podcasts since the medium was created. In 2017, Steve won the Religion Communicator's Council's "Best in Class - Digital Communications" award for his podcast produced for the National Council of Churches. He has interviewed a wide variety of guests including Congresswoman Lucia McBath, Rev. Rob Schenck, and Senator Cory Booker.
Steve has served United Methodist Churches as pastor for twenty years of his career. He has produced films for Public Television and has served as the communications director for the National Council of Churches. He brings his expertise in theology, the intersection of faith and politics, and media production to bear upon today’s most challenging problems.
"I kept hearing the same thing everywhere: 'I’m weary,' and, 'When I went to seminary I did not sign up to be a television producer!' We may long for the day when everything will go back to the way it was before March 12, but it’s becoming clearer every day: online ministry is here to stay, and if we don’t get on board, the ship will sail without us. It doesn’t, however, have to wear us out, and we’re here to help you work smarter, not harder."
